Festival Of Colors, Lexington

You have endured another cold gray winter with snow, ice, salt, and sand. It is spring time! It is time to change the scene. What better way to welcome and celebrate spring than to add colors to the scenery!

Our friends at the Bhakti Center of Lexington are bringing a fun-filled spring fest, the Festival of Colors, to Lexington.

This will be a 4-hour program where –

  • You will enjoy Irish, Tap, Mexican, Indian dances, musical bands like Wicked Hangin’ Chads, Eastburn Music, High School Band and many more.

  • There will be booths/vendors (Empow, Pinotte’s Palette, Einstein’s Workshop, DCU, etc.) from different communities displaying their wares and services.

  • You can relish Mexican, Italian, American and Indian cuisines from the vegetarian food stalls and of course there will be cupcakes and ice cream!

  • There is entertainment for all ages including bounce houses, henna and face painting booths.

  • Finally, we will be playing with dry organic powdered colors – a tradition from India where we welcome spring and greet friends by applying colors on each other’s faces and throwing colors in air.

We would like to invite you to participate in this celebration. If you would like to volunteer for the event, please sign up athttps://goo.gl/7A8Ggt. High schoolers will earn community service hours for volunteering.
