Farming the Revolution is a poignant documentary that delves into the massive year-long protests by Indian farmers against newly enacted farm laws during the COVID lockdown. With over half a million protesters gathering, the movement showcased the resilience and unity of farmers from various generations, religions, classes, and castes. Jain’s documentary captures the everyday experiences and indomitable spirit of this historic farmers' movement, culminating in their remarkable victory.
Ramdas Menon, Indie Meme Programmer, lauded the documentary, stating, "Nishtha Jain's documentary is an in-depth look at the Indian farmers' movement during 2020-2021, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. Farming the Revolution highlights how highly organized and peaceful protests can successfully oppose government policies."
